2009 - Rocky Mountains

Alastair has just completed a two week motorbike trip along the western side of America, traveling from Vancouver to San Francisco on a Triumph Tiger 1050.

The motorbike was a triple cylinder Triumph Tiger 1050. It's a semi-offroad bike similar to the Ducati Multistrada used on my African trip.

Alastair successfully completed the 3,200km journey that cut through British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, and California.

The challenge started in Vancouver and followed the Okanagan Valley south to the Columbia Gorge. They visited Mount St. Helens and headed west to the Pacific Ocean before turning south along the Oregon Coastline to California, riding over the Golden Gate bridge to the finish in San Francisco.
