Mark 1 Lola

A very rare and beautiful car, the Mark 1 Lola is a little sports racing car that used to belong to my brother, Bill. He bought it when I was 19 years old in New Zealand. He raced successfully for a season in it and then sold it on and bought a single-seater racing car. He was sadly killed in this Brabham. The Lola got lost in its passage from owner to owner. But when I went back to New Zealand after I’d started to make a bit of money with my company I located it easily and tried to buy it back. I tried to buy it back for 20 years and the gentleman who owned it always resisted. But eventually one day he rang me up out of the blue and said he’d decided to sell it. So I shipped it back here and had some other people rebuild it for me. A very rare car. Only 22 were made.
